Advancing social responsibility with our stakeholders

In line with our vision, we are unleashing the power of malt for the good of our workforce and the communities around our operations. We are building a safer, more inclusive workplace and fostering collaboration across communities and partners.

Our approach

Safety

Our people power our entire value chain and keeping them safe is our most important responsibility. Across our malthouses, logistics platforms, offices and on the road to farms and customers, we are working toward a single goal: a workplace where no one gets hurt.

Communities

We strive to be a catalyst for change so that our employees and communities can thrive. This means working responsibly with the farmers, employees, customers, partners and communities who make our business possible.

Culture

Our MALT Stars culture is a framework that sets out how we lead, collaborate, solve problems and win together. It reflects the kind of team we want to be, one that is people-centred, high-performing and ready to innovate and adapt in a changing world.

Global Safety Week 2025 reminded us that safety is not just about rules and procedures. It is a reflection of what and who we value most. As we launched our Nine Golden Safety Rules and Five Life-Saving Standards, teams took a moment to pause and reflect on what motivates us to follow them.

Bringing our values to life

Colleagues across our operations in 20 countries took part in workshops that translated our four values into practical, everyday behaviours.

Raising the volume on representation

To mark Women’s History Month, women from Country Malt Group, Canada Malting Company and Great Western Malting came together for a special BrewDeck podcast episode.
